As a cosmetologist myself I have never seen in any beauty salon someone preforming a strand test before bleaching and coloring the hair.
My theory is because beauty shops have plenty of products to correct any problems that may happen. Such as hair changing to an unwanted color.
People who color or bleach their hair at home. Do not have a supply of color or bleach products on hand to correct any unwanted color or damage to the hair.
